LYTE Mastering takes a hard techno direction: a dense master, a defined kick and a low end that holds its ground. Auto mode explores that balance on your mix: pushing the level, then measuring how processing changes the peak-to-average ratio and low-end balance.

    Exploring density

    The number of trials adapts to the track measurements.

    PhaseLimiter starts from a cautious target derived from the track, then moves up in 1 dB steps at an intensity of 1.00. Near the boundary, it refines by 0.5 dB.

    Each output is measured in integrated LUFS, then attenuated if needed to aim for a −1 dBTP ceiling.

    The final level may differ from the target: you are comparing different amounts of processing on the same mix.

    The app stops raising the target when loudness plateaus or a guardrail is crossed, then tests Preserve bass on the best measured candidate.

    It requires a peak-factor loss of no more than 3 dB, low end between 30 and 150 Hz within ±2 dB of the source mix, and an AAC test at 0 dBTP or below.

    These guardrails monitor overall dynamics, low-end weight and post-encoding peaks. On their own, they do not measure kick attack or separation between kick and rumble.

    A technical-balance indicator combines level, true peak, peak factor, low end and AAC safety to rank eligible variants.

    If none meets every guardrail, LYTE only shows the least aggressive candidate and says that keeping the source or revisiting the mix is safer.

    Level-adjusted preview lets you compare attack, saturation texture and rumble definition. The recommendation guides listening; it does not certify the quality of the master.

The target sets the level requested from the engine. Measured output loudness also depends on your mix and the processing.

Intensity controls the amount of processing. Adjust it independently of the target to find your balance between density and dynamics.
